What Is Proximity Key?
by Don Altick -
A proximity key (also named Push Button Start.Keyless Access.Keyless Entry, Push-to-Start, Intelligent Key or Keyless Go) is a device that authorizes a keyless entry and engine igniting in your vehicle.
When user is within the relevant distance, the smartkey communicate using radio-frequency waves with your automotive ECU to lock and open doors and even to start up the car engine having the key in the pocket.
Way back in 1998, Mercedes-Benz was the first to present this platform in the automotive industry.
Currently, motor vehicle drivers can take advantage of push-to-start ignition and key-less entries on nearly all motor vehicles and enjoy functions such as automatic door locking or unlocking, vehicle theft deter protection, alarm, remote start and many more.
